SUCCESS!!!

Last night I put in a rather large piece of rump roast, carrots, potatoes, onions, beef broth and water into my crock pot and this morning? VOILA!!! EFL ROAST!!! Holy cow I woke up to that smell and had a little taste myself :) That's right I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for learning a new meal *Does crazy manly victory dance around the kitchen in my t-shirt and shorts*

Actually the veggies are mushy but in that melt in your mouth sort of way. I followed the directions pretty much to a T from the EFL book although stuff like the garlic and paprika I added into the crockpot instead of grilled first as I find that those stick to the skiller more than they should and I'd rather have them in the mix ;) But yes...I browned the meat, but in the beef broth, veggies and spices, etc and 10 hours later...voila!! It's going to be a great dinner at work :)

actually it just more of a bizarre robot dance in high speed while making sure no one can see through the windows...not as manly as one might imagine come to think of it...

WHOOO HOOO! I was clicking over here and noticed one of your favorite books was Good Omens!!! LOVED it! I've since read a lot of (crap! what was his name?) xxx's other books -- lots of fun!

lol well it's either Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett. I got into Gaiman via his Sandman graphic novels and so many people told me about Pratchett and everyone suggested Good Omens and I was quite happy with it :)

I love the Pot Roast EfL recipe. It is so good on a chilly day. And it actually tastes better as a leftover in my opinion.

Yeah I'm going to be warming it up for dinner tonight at work. My coworker are pretty jealous. I told them for a combined 20 bucks I'll make another for them and bring it in tommorow night. I think they are taking up a collection. I had a little bit of it from the crockpot right before work today and had to stop...I would have eaten the whole thing if I wasn't careful lol!!
